Size 00 is the most commonly used capsule, followed by size 0. You can fit between 1/2 and 3/4ths a gram of powder into one size 00 capsule, and up to a half gram into a size 0.

No, there is no mixing and matching between capsule sizes and machine sizes. A size 00 machine can only be used to fill size 00 capsules, size 0 to fill size 0, 000 to 000 and so forth.
