How to Use the Capsule Size Calculator

Supplies Needed:

Your Supplement Powder - The powder being put into capsules.
Tablespoon or Measuring Cup - Any volume-measuring device will work.
Digital Scale - Should at least measure grams to 1 decimal place; the more sensitive, the better. Anything less will skew your estimate. This Digital Powder Scale works well for this.

Steps:

Pack as much of your supplement powder as you can into the measuring device you’ve chosen. If it’s a teaspoon or measuring cup, make sure the top of the powder is packed as flat and tightly as possible for the most accurate measurement.
Pour the powder out of your volume-measuring device and onto the scale to find its weight.
Enter the weight of your powder and the volume of your measuring device into the calculator boxes below, then select “Calculate.”
*Weight can be entered in either grams, kilograms, milligrams, ounces or pounds. Volume can be entered in either milliliters, liters, fluid ounces or cups.

That’s it!
Note that results may skew + or - 10mg or more, depending on the measuring device, scale, and methods used.
